I've been using the 2.5 series for nearly 2 years now.. and have probably had
a handful of crashes so far.

Does Mandrake still ship fvwm ?

Have you even bothered to try

rpmbuild -ta fvwm-2.5.10.tar.gz

Or alternately you can hire the services of a consultant to package and
install fvwm on your machine!
