Use gnuserv.

 1- Get and install gnuserv package
 2- Add this to ~/.emacs :

  (setq gnuserv-frame (window-frame (selected-window)))
  (require 'gnuserv)
  (gnuserv-start)

 3- edit a file from the shell:

  $ gnuclient -q somefile.txt
