There are various plans described to achieve this in the CVS sources.
Look at todo-3.0 and WindowStyle_proposal.txt.
Since I'm not planning to do the work right now, I'm not going to make
any commitments. Thats why I said "some day".

The way anything gets high in the priority list is that someone
with coding skills decides they want it.
