Or better yet, make a symlink (preferrably in /usr/local/bin)
to /usr/ccs/bin/ar, or wherever the vendor has hidden it.
If you're using Solaris, I think you'll find that Sun did
install a man page for ar (actually, I believe there are 2 versions),
giving you the full path to the binary.
