Oh, this is so contributing way to respond to critique.

Mmm, let me think of the options:

 - Let's pretend there's nothing wrong with FVWM.

or

 - Let's accept the fact that FVWM is quality-wise not something you
   want to show to students (to put it mildly).

and then what we could do next, in respective order:

 - See how people jump the ship and bail to emerging window managers
   (that have a clean code base)

or

 - Do something about it.

We can either have denial, and start another wm war, or admittance,
critique and progress. Can you guess which camp the "respond hostilely
to all critic" belongs to?

(I know I am overly sarcastic.)
