I can't say for Christopher, but I have that problem with any window I
open. On 2.0.43, I had it setup for active placement for all cases, but in
upgrading to 2.0.44, this changed to smart placement I believe (it places it
if there is an obvious place, otherwise you place it). Below is what I have
been using for my default styles, did something change? (From a reading
through the man page, it doesn't appear so)

Style "*" MWMButtons, MWMFunctions, MWMDecor, HintOverride
Style "*" ForeColor white, BackColor lightsteelblue3
Style "*" ActivePlacement, NoPPosition

Or am I doing something wrong?

John
