It seems to have worked for me. After installing readline, I moved
FvwmConsole into modules, mistakenly changed BINDIR in
FvwmConsole/Makefile to /usr/openwin/bin, ran all of the makes, and
then moved /usr/oepnwin/bin/FvwmConsole* to /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fvwm2.
