I don't see anything right off the bat, but I do have another
question. Is it truly doing nothing, or do the non-swallow related
buttons (like the ones that pop up xterms) appear ok and work or does
no window appear at all (except for the unswallowed items normal
windows, like Jeff below)?

Does an ultra simple button definition work (like 1 button)?

Both of you (and anyone else having problems w/ Jarl's new
FvwmButtons) please try compiling it w/ the debug info on (see
FvwmButtons.h) and see if it tells anything. The output will go to
your .xerrors (or .xsession-errors) file. Sift through it and see if
it says anything that doesn't look quite right.
