I use ctwm but don't use the tab feature. I have many many xterms all
the very same size all at +0+0 and I use the IconManager to choose the
right xterm (I have Alt-CursorUp and Alt-CursorDown bound to moving in
the IconManager).

That would be an alternative for you tabbing-friends out there.
